September is the start of football. The Post, Auxiliary, and SAL honor guard present the colors at our local high school “Panther” home football games, while the national anthem is being played by the high school band. So impressive to see and experience. Good luck, Panthers!!!!!!!!!
The Legion will host Viking tailgating parties with the Legion family taking turns setting up for the potluck on Sunday games only. Come watch the game and hear the “Viking Horn” blow at each Viking touchdown. Good luck, Vikings!!
It is a “brand new year.” September 12 starts the Auxiliary monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. I’m so thankful for such an active membership. Anytime help is needed. You are there! THANK YOU!!!
Patty Gunderson is the 2023-2024 6th District President from Upsala. Her theme is “Brightening the days of our veterans and communities.” Her symbol is the sunflower. Her project is raising funds for the activity/recreation program at the “new to be opened this fall” MN Veterans Home in Bemidji. We will be helping her with her project throughout the year.
