Welcome to 2024.
Well, we officially made it to a new year. What a long ride it has been. Some really amazing things have happened in 2023, I have met so many new people as commander and had to learn a lot of new skills to get through some of the struggles. I believe we have made the Park Rapids American Legion a better place because of it. There were some amazing events that happened at the legion this year and if you attended any of them thank you for the support and I truly hope you enjoyed yourself.
Not all things that happen at the legion are good of course. We did lose way to many legion members this year and we are very sad to lose them. They all will truly be missed.
On the bright side we did gain a lot of new members that transferred or are brand new members. We will welcome them with open arms. If anyone is eligible to be a member please feel free to stop in and join our amazing group.
With 2024 just starting we of course will be having the fishing derby coming up very shortly. Ice or no ice we will be giving all the prizes away so make sure you get a ticket for yourself and maybe a second just because. I know it hasn’t really looked like ice fishing weather lately, its been kind of a strange year but you know as well as I do that we will get ice and snow eventually so please everyone be careful when outside in the elements.
I look forward to seeing everyone come into the legion this coming year and I look to make it a better place to come to every year.
