Several members of the Legion Family participated in the “Shop with a Hero” event on December 19 at the Walmart in Park Rapids. Over 30 volunteers from the Legion, Auxiliary, S.A.L., Park Rapids Police, Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol and the Nevis and Park Rapids Fire Departments assisted over 70 kids from the area in shopping for gifts for the holidays. It was great to see all the smiling faces and to make the season even brighter for the kids and the volunteers that were involved.
