Fall is upon us this month.
The Backyard Bash was a huge success. It was a beautiful 2-days/evenings! I want to thank everyone involved in helping with the event as well as attending the event.
This past summer has been a great summer at the Legion being busy. September continues to be active with Friday and Saturday night dinners, banquets, and events.
It has been 24 years since 9/11. Moments of Silence:
- 8:46am: Hijackers deliberately crashed American Airlines Flight 11 into floors 93 through 99 of the North Tower
- 9:03am: Hijackers deliberately crashed United Airlines Flight 175 into floors 77 through 85 of the South Tower
- 9:37am: Hijackers deliberately crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon
- 9:59am: The South Tower collapsed
- 10:03am: After learning of the other attacks, passengers on United Airlines Flight 93 launched a counterattack on hijackers aboard their plane to try to seize control of the aircraft. In response, the hijackers crashed the plane into an empty field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania
- 10:28am: The North Tower collapsed
Never Forget.
Important Military Dates in September: 9/11Patriot Day (9/11 Remembrance Day); 9/18 U.S. Air Force birthday; 9/18 Air National Guard birthday; 3rd Friday National POW/MIA Recognition Day; Last Sunday Gold Star Mother’s Day
Thank you for all that you do!
