October 2025 – Post Commander’s Newsletter

Hello fellow Legionnaires,
It is another month in the books. Welcome to October. Things at the Legion have been going quite well. With the leaves starting to change colors and the temps getting a little cooler, we push forward into the fall season. Football season has started. Not just Vikings football, which the building is open for with a potluck, but also Panther football. The Post, Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion have been posting colors before every home game. I hope you have made it to a game to see us.

The Farmer’s Market has come to an end for the season as well. Huge turnout and support for that and we all look forward to doing that again this next year. Big thank you to Kevin Burns for making sure those events run every week without any issues and scheduling different veteran groups to man the tent. Great job.

There will be some upcoming construction at the Legion. It’s not going to be very noticeable for everyone, but we will be replacing the back section of the roof because we have had some water issues. If you see people working outside, don’t be concerned, we will still be open for business; it will not affect any of the events we do every month.

The Legion will be doing a Halloween Party on October 31st. Potluck-style food and prizes for best costumes. If you’re interested in dressing up and having some fun, make sure you stop by. Happy hour starts at 4:30 PM, potluck starts at 6:00 PM, and costume judging at 7:00. Looking forward to seeing the spooky and fun creativity!

I hope everyone had a fantastic summer and hope to see you all this fall.

Thank you all

Kasey Krautkremer

Commander
