MN Fund 85 Run

What is it

The Minnesota Fund 85 Run is an American Legion Riders motorcycle run to help Minnesota Veterans and their families. The funds raised are contributed to MN Fund 85 (Minnesota American Legion Foundation Veterans Assistance Fund) established to help Veterans in need. It is for struggling veterans who do not qualify for other assistance programs or, even when they do qualify, there are times those programs take so long that they end up being too late to help. Veterans in dire straits can receive assistance quickly with a maximum lifetime amount of $5,000. Any request for assistance starts at the local posts, which then bring the requests to the Department of Minnesota.

Park Rapids American Legion Family Donation

On July 25th, Kasey Krautkremer, Erin Hensel, and Bart Anderson met the group at the Walker American Legion Post to present checks for a total of $1,450 from the Park Rapids American Legion Family to Jody Hassing, District 6 Rider Director. At the end of day two the run has raised just under $50,000 for the fund. What a great start!
