Hello fellow Legionnaires,

I am so excited to be back in the role of the Commander after a year off. Thank you so much to Ron Pierzinski for taking the Commander role this past year. You did a fantastic job and the Post couldn’t be happier with a job well done. Thank you to all the members who trust in me to be the Commander again and I will do my best to make sure this year is one of the best we have ever had.

Congratulations to Erin Hensel for taking the role of Auxiliary President and Bob Cadreau for carrying on as SAL Commander. I look forward to working with both of you and I know we will work great as a team together.

So, its July already… It feels like summer just started and in a few short days it will be the 4th of July parade. Make sure you all come out for that and support the American Legion and other Veteran groups as we lead the opening of the parade.

The Legion has some public relation events coming up. We have been a big part of the Farmers Market this year; with a booth set up every Saturday starting at 9:00 AM, along with the bar opening up at 10:00 AM for the people who need a break from the heat. We encourage you to stop by and say hello to the different crews working the booth and in the club.

We also have the 4th of July parade coming up along with all the normal bar bingo, backroom bingo, burger nights and karaoke that happen weekly. August 1st will be the Backyard Bash so make sure you mark your calendars because it is definitely a ‘can’t miss event’. Lots of fun to be had with great music and lots of people. Keep an eye on the American Legion website and Facebook page to keep updated on things happening around the club.

Thank you to my wife and kids who have been a big support in me taking over the role. They have been my biggest cheerleaders.
