This will be my last newsletter…..for this year!!!

I’d like to start up on thanking everyone that came out for the Veteran’s Day Dinner.  A special thank you to the Auxiliary group that made the food and planned the dinner. It was delicious!!!!  Congrats to the recipients of the Quilts of Honor. None of them were expecting to receive one!  If you have not seen the photos of the recipients, please take a moment to review the Club News post on the website titled, “Veterans Day Dinner”.

Thank you to all the bell ringers that joined us to assist with the Salvation Army efforts in November. It was exciting to see how members of the community step up for a worthy cause.  We can still use a few volunteers for Legion’s December 7th bell ringing at L&M.  Please contact Kevin Burns if you are interested.

Santa will be at the Legion on December 15. Bring the kids!!! Gaming has supplied toys for boys and girls 0 to 10 years old. Each boy and girl will get a toy and a bag of candy supplied by the Auxiliary.  This is a great event and thank you to the Auxiliary committee that purchases the gifts and organizes this event.

Tuesday, December 10th is our Legion Family potluck Christmas dinner and our monthly membership meeting.  5pm social hour, 6pm potluck with a short meeting afterwards.  If you can, please bring along a Food Shelf donation!

Kevin Burns is working on improving our website. Check it out and be sure to subscribe to the posts so you don’t miss out on the Legion Family News and be sure to check out the Events page for the many activities that are happening!

Don’t miss Customer Appreciation Day, Saturday, December 28th.  We appreciate ALL of YOU coming in and supporting the American Legion.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and a happy New Year! I look forward to seeing everyone at our Park Rapids American Legion!

Together, we can make a difference!!
