The fall colors are upon us. Such a beautiful time of year except for the weather as we are all getting ready for the winter.
The Girls and Boys and Tiny Tots Toy Drive box is set up in the bar side of the Legion. Registration is Saturday, November 1st from 9am – 12pm and Saturday, November 8th from 9am – 12pm.
Daylight Saving Time concludes at 2am on Sunday, November 2nd when the clock will “fall back” one hour and in theory we get one extra hour of sleep!
The annual Gun Raffle is on November 7th @ 8pm. The club will open at 11am that day so you can stop in and get your last minute raffle tickets. $5 per ticket but this year instead of 5 guns we are raffling off 16 guns. There are a lot of nice 2nd amendment items to win!!! Good luck to all who enter!
We have a couple dinners scheduled in the backroom to include the S.A.L. Burgers and Fry Basket on November 7th from 4:30pm – 7pm with the Gun Raffle at 8pm. Make sure to get your Raffle ticket.
Will be having a Turkey Bingo on November 22nd starting at 2pm.
There will be a light meal available.
Election day is November 5th. Get out and vote if you wish.
“Veterans Day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I, on November 11, to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. This holiday is a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.” The American Legion Post 212 will have a Free Turkey Dinner with all the fixings on November 15th, from 4:30pm – 7pm. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
$4.00 Tom and Jerry’s will be served on Wednesday, November 26th, starting at 4pm with Burgers and Horses starting at 5pm. Hope to see you all there.
Thanksgiving is November 27th. “This holiday is celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year.” I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving and don’t eat too much!
Important Military Dates in November: Entire month of November is National Military Family Month; 11/10 U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Birthday; 11/11 Veteran’s Day.
