I can’t believe I’m writing my JULY newsletter, where is time going! The summer has been busy here at the Legion. The backroom will be busy with a few events on the weekends as well as meetings throughout the week. If you’re looking to book a venue for your event, please contact me here at the legion (218) 732-5238 or via email barmanagerpost212@gmail.com
Just a heads up the Backyard Bash is coming up Aug 1st and Park Rapids all class reunion will be here at the legion on Aug 2nd. The Front Fenders will be playing both nights. The crew will be grilling brats and burgers Friday night with beans and sweet corn. The Past Presidents will be selling their pie, pies and ice cream again this year.
July 19th we will be selling brats & tots to raise money for the MN/ND Honor Flight. This is an amazing trip that honors our heroes with a trip out east to see all the vet memorials as well as seeing the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier! This fundraiser will be sponsored by the Sons of the American Legion and the legion club. We will be presenting the check to the honor flight group at the Fargo/Moorhead honor flight game on August 19th.
