August 2025 – Post Commander’s Newsletter

Hello again,

August is already here, crazy to see July flying by. I’m happy to see that it is going to stay warm so be sure to enjoy our beautiful Minnesota weather.

We had a pretty eventful month in July. The 4th of July was one of our biggest events we had going on. It was so good to see so much support for the Flag, as well as support for the members carrying it through the parade. Unfortunately, the fireworks were postponed until a later date, however it was a beautiful day. The Farmer’s Market has been going strong and it has been great to see all the people stopping to say hello. There are still a few more of those Saturdays coming up so if you haven’t stopped by yet, please make sure you do. There is a blood drive coming up on 28-30th of July; I hope we get a lot of people registering and donating blood.

Big things are happening as well this month. August 1st will be the Backyard Bash. We will have a live band, food and a dunk tank! Make sure stop out for that night, it’s always a really fun time. Keep in mind that there are events happening on the bar side during the week, so come in and have a good time.

I would also like to thank the family members of the American Legion for all the help they do for this post. This place wouldn’t be what it is without all of our help collectively. If there are more people who want to help out in any of the events we have going on, please feel free to contact myself, the Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion directly. You can also review a list of activities where help is always welcome by checking out the Volunteer page on our website.

I hope you all enjoy you month of August and hope to see you soon.

Kasey Krautkremer

Commander
