Spring is here!!!!

Saturday, April 5, will be the celebration of life and final farewell to our good friend David ‘Lefty’ Anderson.  His commitment to the Park Rapids American Legion and our community will be dearly missed. If you are able, we hope you will join us at the Legion for a gathering after the funeral.

Thank you to all who volunteer for the Friday Fish Fries! They have been well attended and will continue for the next three Fridays.  If you would like to assist, please contact the assigned Chairperson or an Officer for the remaining Auxiliary (April 4), or S.A.L. (April 11) events. Boy Scout Troop 58 will be in charge of the final one on April 18th.

The nominating committee is working hard to fill open spots for officers and the executive board. Please don’t wait to be asked, contact committee members (Bob Safratowich, Charlise Carroll, or Kevin Burns) to discuss if you are interested!  

We’re excited to announce that we will be participating in the Park Rapids Farmers Market this year. The Farmers Market runs from Saturday, May 24th – Saturday, September 20th. Hours are 9:00am – 1:00pm and the Club will open at 10:00am. We are currently planning the Saturdays that the Legion Family will set up a booth. If you are interested in participating, or have a fundraising idea for the booth, please contact an Officer or a member of the Suggestions Committee.
